Maailma suurim tehnoloogiaettevõte Hewlett-Packard tutvustab Tallinnas IT-spetsialistidele uue põlvkonna HP ProLiant Gen8 servereid, mis on varustatud Inteli Xeon® E5-2600 protsessoritega.Senisest efektiivsemat HP ProLiant Gen8 uut serveripõlvkonda tutvustatakse rahvusvahelisel ringreisil, mis jõuab Tallinna 20. märtsil.
HP Eesti juhi Mart Engelbrechti sõnul muudavad HP ProLiant Gen8 serverid X86-tüüpi serverite turgu tervikuna. “IT-seadmed on pidevalt läinud kiiremaks, väiksemaks ja odavamaks,” rääkis Engelbrecht. “Pilveajastul on aga kohale jõudnud serverid, mis virtuaalselt juhivad end ise. Selliseid seadmed suudavad vältida vigu, mis võivad juhtuda käsitsi tehtavate operatsioonide puhul nagu serveri administreerimine, rakenduste kasutamine ning jahutuse ja toite juhtimine. Nüüd saavad IT-administraatorid panustada oma aega ja energiat ärilisse innovatsiooni, mitte aga ainult IT-seadmete töö jälgimisse.”
ProLiant Gen8 tuuril esitletakse ka HP standardplatvormi varundustooteid. Need integreerivad erinevaid varunduslahendusi, vähendavad varundusseadmete hulka ning muudavad varunduse juhtimise ja monitoorimisprotsessi lihtsamaks. Samuti tutvustab HP uut FlexNetworki võrguarhitektuuri, mis ühendab füüsilisi ja virtuaalseid võrke.
ProLiant Gen8 Roadshow kaaskorraldaja Intel esitleb Xeon® E5-2600 mikroprotsessorite perekonda, mis on uue põlvkonna andmekeskuste, avalike ja privaatsete pilvesüsteemide, tööjaamade ning varundusseadmete südameks.
